Answers
Q: When you come for an estimate, does somebody need to be home?
The only reasons you would need to be there is in the event of critters (dogs, goats or similar that need to be monitored), gates that should remain locked that we may need to get through or if you had any additional questions that you would rather ask in person. Otherwise, no - you need not be home. We will look over the project and get back to you with detailed information regarding your estimate.

Q: What all is involved in an estimate? Can't we just let you know the sq. ft.?
No, just the dimensions are not enough. The other factors are (but are mot limited to) age of the surface, the type of stains or buildup, cracks or other significant damage as well as the surface area.

Q: What is the difference between pressure washing and power washing?
Some would say there is no difference at all but in fact pressure washing relies on pressure to do the washing. Power washing utilizes a much lower pressure so power washing relies on additives to do much of the cleaning.

Q: Do your cleaners harm plants or pets?
No. We take great care in preparing the surrounding areas. Wetting surfaces and plants to prevent any wicking and covering to protect from any overspray is usually enough but we follow up with a good rinse down afterward as well. You will be impressed with the results.

Q: Will powerwashing my deck restore it?
Yes, it could. This depends entirely on the current condition of the wood. Power washing will restore the color and contrast. Cleaning the stains and bringing back the color will happen. Warped boards, split ad splintered planks and similar weather related damage will not be helped much at all by a good cleaning.

Q: Will power washing my house get moisture behind the siding?
No. Care is always taken with the amount of pressure in any application. Power washing a house is done with a very low pressure so water doesn't splash behind siding. Low pressure also protects any painted surface from having the paint blown off. Most of the cleaning power comes from the additives when power washing a house. This is different than pressure washing a house - that should never be done.

Q: Does power washing a roof force water under the shingles?
Not at all. Power washing a roof is done with No Pressure so it could almost be called power rinsing the roof. The additives used treat algea and remove stains while the wash is pretty much the delivery system for the addiditves. Then the roof gets rinsed to remove any excess detergents with the same "no pressure" method and always from the top down. We are easier on your roof than a good rain.

Q: Do you need a water spigot or other water connection?
Knipple Powerwash has commercial pumps that draw solution from the tanks we have onboard. We do not require a water source or connection. Mixing the additives in a tank is far more uniform than chemical feeders or injectors pushing into a pressurized environment.

Q: How far can you reach with your washer?
Pressure washer pump manufacturers recommend a max hose length of 100 feet. The hose can be more than 100 feet but it diminishes efficiency. In most cases, 100 feet is plenty.
